Suwon City Intensifies Crackdown on Illegally Abandoned Vehicles
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a comprehensive crackdown on illegal vehicles, including illegally modified and abandoned cars.
On the 24th, Suwon City announced that it will carry out a crackdown on illegal vehicles until the 15th of next month to resolve residents' inconveniences caused by abandoned vehicles and to eradicate illegal automobile activities.
The targets of the crackdown include ▲abandoned vehicles (left on someone else's land for more than 2 months) ▲illegal operation of two-wheelers ▲ghost cars (unregistered or registered under another person's name) ▲vehicles operating without inspection or mandatory insurance ▲illegally modified vehicles (including two-wheelers) and other vehicles violating safety standards.
Suwon City plans to impose fines or take criminal action according to relevant laws when illegal vehicles are detected.
