Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends Nowon District Disabled Art Exhibition 'The Aesthetics of Sharing and Communication'
On the 23rd at 2 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the 16th Nowon District Disabled Art Exhibition, "The Aesthetics of Sharing and Communication," held at the Nowon District Office auditorium.
The Nowon District Disabled Art Exhibition annually showcases works by disabled cultural artists in Nowon District, aiming to expand cultural empathy and communication between disabled individuals and local residents, as well as to discover emerging disabled artists and promote cultural arts.
This year, a total of 60 works from seven organizations (Nowon Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Education Center, Down Welfare Center, Seoul Disabled Parents Solidarity Nowon Branch, Seoul Metropolitan Cerebral Palsy Welfare Center, Seoul Metropolitan Veterans Welfare Center, Seoul Metropolitan Northern Disabled Comprehensive Welfare Center, and Peace Comprehensive Welfare Center) were exhibited on the 2nd floor auditorium and hallway of the Nowon District Office.
The event proceeded in the order of rounding, introduction of guests, congratulatory speeches, and progress reports. The exhibition will run until October 27.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok stated, "I hope this exhibition will serve as an opportunity for disabled and non-disabled people to culturally empathize and communicate," adding, "We will do our best to present high-quality exhibitions by focusing more on expanding infrastructure such as remodeling the Nowon Culture and Arts Center and constructing the Gyeongchun Line Forest Trail Gallery."
