China Extends Anti-Dumping Tariffs on Korean Plastic Raw Materials for 5 Years
The Chinese government has decided to continue imposing anti-dumping duties on polyoxymethylene (POM), an industrial plastic raw material imported from South Korea and other countries.
On the 23rd, the Ministry of Commerce of China announced on its website that due to the continuation and recurrence of dumping of POM imported from South Korea, Thailand, and Malaysia, which could continue to harm its domestic industry, the anti-dumping tariffs will be extended until October 24, 2028.
Previously, in October 2016, the Ministry of Commerce decided to investigate anti-dumping measures on imports from three countries including South Korea at the request of domestic industries, and announced the imposition of tariffs the following year.
According to the decision at that time, South Korean companies subject to anti-dumping duties included Korea Engineering Plastics (30.0%), Kolon Plastics (6.2%), and other companies (30.4%).
