From the 25th to 27th at the Provincial Office and Dongbu Government Complex Area
Jeonnam Province announced on the 23rd that it will hold the "27th Jeollanam-do Residents' Day Commemorative Event," a venue for communication and harmony involving 22 cities and counties, from the 25th to the 27th.
Residents' Day, held around the provincial government office and the Eastern Government Complex, will be themed "Connecting Jeonnam, Flying to the World," celebrating the inaugural year of the great leap toward a happy era in Jeonnam soaring globally.
During the event period, programs encompassing all generations, including children, youth, and seniors, will be operated.
On the first day, the 25th, the commemorative ceremony held at the Kim Dae-jung Auditorium in the provincial government office will proceed in the order of reading the Residents' Charter, awarding the Proud Jeonnam Citizens, commemorative videos and performances, and a performance. In particular, the commemorative performance and the show will express Jeonnam's past and future stories as a grand musical combined with three-dimensional light-emitting diode (LED) screens.
Immediately following, the Residents' Concert will feature top domestic singers such as Jang Yoon-jeong, Park Ji-hyun, Hwang Chi-yeul, and Kyungseo, presenting a stage enjoyed by all generations together.
On the 26th, a competition will be held with the participation of 26 senior choir teams from each city and county, totaling about 1,000 members. The "Jeonnam Senior Choir Competition," now in its 7th year, is held in conjunction with Residents' Day, adding richness to the festival enjoyed by all generations.
On the final day, the 27th, a special lecture titled "Five Principles for Certain Success" will be held for students and parents, featuring the top instructor Lee Ji-young.
Various programs will also be conducted at the Eastern Headquarters, which opened in September this year. On the 25th, a healing talk concert featuring actor Son Byung-ho will be held, followed by a regional innovation symposium on the 26th.
Additionally, from the 26th to the 27th, carefully selected independent films and documentaries that provide profound emotion and resonance will be screened free of charge for visitors.
At the lawn plaza in front of the provincial government office, various side events will unfold to enjoy the autumn night’s atmosphere and romance.
On one side of the lawn plaza, a resting space for enjoying a fire pit using circular LEDs will be created, along with various promotional booths, youth busking, youth food trucks, a residents' bookstore, and a happiness photo studio, capturing charming and delicate sensibilities.
Unique entertainment such as Eolsu & Nanjang, which invites audience participation, competitions among kindergartens and daycare centers, dialect singing contests, and multicultural family talent shows will be offered.
On the final day, the 27th, following the dance parade "Street Junior Fighter" featuring students, the event will conclude with a "Cinema Concert," where Phantom Singer alumni duo Lee Dong-shin and Kwak Dong-hyun will collaborate with an orchestra to present OSTs of famous movie scenes.
