Nambu University Develops Capacity-Building Program for Teachers Guiding Slow Learners
Nambu University recently announced on the 23rd that it conducted capacity-building activities for field teachers guiding slow learners as part of the 'Supporting Children Growing as Themselves' project.
Nambu University operates the Gwangju Support Group for Regional Children's Centers (Director: Choi Gangnim) under commission from Gwangju Metropolitan City.
The recent capacity-building activities included various programs such as teaching methods tailored to the characteristics of slow learners, traditional daily tea ceremony, and burnout prevention healing craft activities.
In the teaching methods tailored to the characteristics of slow learners, Professor Park Heejin provided education on "Controlling Children with Intellectual and Hyperactivity Disorders." The session focused on identifying behavioral problem factors that may arise according to the individual characteristics of slow learners and exploring effective methods that can be applied.
The traditional daily tea ceremony was a meaningful healing time where participants shared warm tea prepared by Byeokjin Seowon and experienced the sincerity and mental and physical relaxation contained within.
The burnout prevention healing craft activity was a free program supported by the "Gwangju Metropolitan City Work-Family Balance Support Headquarters," offering health bracelet making to encourage the health and work activities of field teachers.
