Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that the Geumcheon-gu Family Center will operate the ‘Self-Defense Training for Single-Person Households’ on November 4 and 11.
The ‘Self-Defense Training for Single-Person Households’ targets 120 single-person households who are vulnerable to safety issues. Participants will train with professional instructors on how to respond in threatening situations.
The program will be held four times in total: two sessions on November 4 (10 AM, 2 PM) and two sessions on November 11 (10 AM, 2 PM). Each session lasts 3 hours, with 30 participants per session, totaling 120 participants. The training days are scheduled on Saturdays to accommodate workers and others who find it difficult to attend weekday classes.
Eligible participants are single-person households or prospective single-person households residing in Geumcheon-gu. Residents who wish to participate can sign up on the Geumcheon-gu Family Center website by registering as a member and applying through ‘Program Information - Program Application.’ Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participants will receive a self-defense alarm (police whistle) upon attending the training.
