UN Secretary-General Urges Israel-Palestine Ceasefire... Peace Summit in Cairo
On the 21st (local time), Arab leaders attending the peace summit held in Cairo, Egypt, condemned Israel's airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. Ant?nio Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, called for an immediate ceasefire.
King Abdullah II of Jordan pointed out at the peace summit, "The Arab world is hearing the message that Palestinian lives are less important than Israeli lives." He added, "We feel anger and sorrow over the acts of violence committed against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank of Jordan, and other areas."
He added, "Our message to Israel is that 'we want a future of peace and security for both Israel and Palestine.'"

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi opposed the relocation of Palestinian residents to Egypt's Sinai region in his speech.
