Park Gang-su, the mayor of Mapo District, transformed into a local magistrate, completed the inspection of salted shrimp brought from famous production areas nationwide and allowed the arrival of the yellow earth sailboat carrying fresh and delicious salted shrimp.
On the morning of the 20th, the 16th Mapo Naru Salted Shrimp Festival opened with a magistrate parade from Mapo District Office Square to the Peace Plaza in World Cup Park and a reenactment of the yellow sailboat's arrival on the waterfront stage.
At the opening ceremony, Park Gang-su, mayor of Mapo District, said, "We have prepared a variety of food, sights, and entertainment with great care to satisfy the five senses of visitors to the Salted Shrimp Festival," adding, "We hope you come to the Salted Shrimp Festival in the cool autumn and create joyful and happy memories with your family, friends, and loved ones."
The 16th Mapo Naru Salted Shrimp Festival will be held for three days from the 20th to the 22nd around the Peace Plaza in World Cup Park.
