Junggi Distribution Center Awarded for Public Data Opening and Utilization by Ministry of the Interior and Safety
Selected as the Top Excellent Institution Among 103 Other Public Institutions in Korea
The Small and Medium Business Distribution Center (CEO Lee Tae-sik) announced on the 20th that it was selected as an excellent institution in the 2022 Public Data Provision Operation Status Evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and received a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety.
The Public Data Provision Operation Status Evaluation, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, assesses five areas: public institutions' public data management system, opening, utilization, and quality. The Small and Medium Business Distribution Center was recognized for its contribution as a public institution in promoting the use of public data by small and medium enterprises and small business owners through building a data-based sales channel ecosystem to expand sales channel support and collecting, processing, analyzing, and utilizing sales channel data.

View original imageIn particular, efforts such as organizing dedicated personnel and teams to establish a foundation for public data utilization, periodic data opening on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, and conducting independent demand surveys to activate the use of public data were highly evaluated. As a result, it received a score of 96.09, which is 29.97 points higher than the average score of 282 public institutions subject to evaluation, and was selected as the top excellent institution among 103 other public institutions in Korea.

Lee Tae-sik, CEO of the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center, said, "We are considering expanding the field of public data opening to help small and medium enterprises and small business owners establish marketing strategies and improve services," adding, "We will continue to improve internal capabilities and enhance resources to expand the use of open data materials and lay the foundation for data-driven administration."
