Hospitals Also Targeted in Airstrikes... Gaza Residents Feel "All Civilians Are Being Targeted"
CBS 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' Interview
"Israel Bombing Without Distinction of East, West, South, or North"
"Land Where I Was Born and Raised... Will Not Leave"
On the 17th (local time), a large explosion occurred at a hospital in the Gaza Strip, governed by the Palestinian armed faction Hamas, resulting in hundreds of civilian deaths. Earlier, the Israeli military had instructed residents in northern Gaza to "evacuate south," but the residents said, "Bombing and airstrikes are happening indiscriminately in all directions?east, west, south, and north," adding that nowhere is safe.
Mohamed (a pseudonym), 44, who lives in the center of Gaza City in the Gaza Strip, said in an interview with CBS Radio's "Kim Hyun-jung's News Show" on the 19th, "Children, the elderly, disabled people, and women alike are all being targeted, and even schools and hospitals considered safe are being subjected to airstrikes." He added, "Israel also bombed convoys of refugees fleeing to the south of the Gaza Strip. I interpret this as meaning 'all civilians will be targeted.' That is why we have no choice but to hold our current positions."
On the 10th day of airstrikes between the Palestinian armed faction Hamas and Israel, residents in Rafah, Gaza Strip, are seen in despair following an Israeli airstrike on the 17th (local time).

He said, "Everyone in the Gaza Strip is staying in their own homes and locations," and "Some had evacuated to the south, but they were hit by airstrikes on the way and even they returned." Regarding the scale of the damage, he explained, "130,000 houses have been destroyed by airstrikes. Those who can no longer stay in their homes have evacuated to places considered safer, such as nearby schools, UN-affiliated schools, and hospitals."
He reported that the hospital bombed the previous day in the Gaza Strip was a place where thousands of refugees had gathered. He lamented, "More than 900 people died overnight. They were simply people who had gathered seeking a safe space, yet they all lost their lives within a day."
Regarding Israel's denial of the hospital bombing, he said, "This is a tactic Israel always uses whenever it commits crimes violating international law," adding, "They always say 'Hamas did it' or 'some armed faction did it.' This is not surprising at all and is a claim to evade their responsibility."
The reason they cannot evacuate despite the ongoing armed conflict is not only because nowhere is safe but also because "they cannot leave the land where they were born and raised."
