CJ ENM Studios is hosting the "1st Studios Story Contest" to discover the next generation of K-content. CJ ENM Studios was formed by integrating eight labels with outstanding content sensibility and unique production capabilities, creating well-made content across various genres based on universal emotions shared by people worldwide. This contest is designed to discover talented writers and nurture mega IPs (intellectual properties) representing South Korea.
Notably, top-tier creators affiliated with CJ ENM Studios will directly participate in judging the works and producing the content. The contest is divided into four categories: ▲Drama ▲Film ▲Documentary ▲Webtoon. Any South Korean citizen passionate about content creation can participate. Each individual may submit up to three entries regardless of category, and collaborative works by two or more writers are also accepted.
For the drama category, participants must submit scripts and planning proposals for two episodes, each approximately 60 minutes in length. For the film category, a feature-length screenplay and planning proposal with a running time of about 120 minutes must be submitted. The documentary category requires a portfolio or a mood reel (a reference video under 10 minutes that conveys the direction of the work) along with a planning proposal. For the webtoon category, submission of three completed episodes, up to five storyboards, a synopsis, and character sheets is mandatory.

After a fair and rigorous evaluation, a total of nine winning works will be selected. The total prize money is 200 million KRW, the largest scale in the country. One grand prize winner will be selected across all categories, receiving 50 million KRW. Additionally, one winner per category will receive the excellence award (ranging from 20 million to 30 million KRW depending on the category), and one winner per category will receive the merit award (ranging from 10 million to 15 million KRW depending on the category). If the winning works are produced into videos by Studios, additional incentives will be provided separately from the prize money.
