Jang Ye-chan "Try Experiencing Shampoo Errand Power Abuse"... 'Lee Jae-myung Corporate Card Allegation' Controversy Rekindled
First Face and Name of Whistleblower in Corporate Card Scandal Revealed
Jang Ye-chan Calls Cancellation of National Assembly Hearing Witness "Disregard for Victims"
The former public official who blew the whistle on the 'alleged private misuse of corporate cards' by Kim Hye-kyung, spouse of Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, appeared in public for the first time, reigniting related suspicions.
Earlier on the 18th, Jo Myung-hyun, a former Grade 7 public official at Gyeonggi Provincial Government who reported the alleged misuse of corporate cards during Lee's tenure as governor of Gyeonggi Province, held a press conference revealing his face and name. Jo had previously been scheduled to appear as a witness at the National Assembly audit but was canceled due to opposition from the opposition party, and this was a protest against that decision.

Jo raised his voice, saying, "What Lee and his wife Kim Hye-kyung have done is a clear criminal act and must never happen under any circumstances," adding, "Can someone who shamelessly misuses taxpayers' money for personal use and treats public officials like servants be called a politician who understands the people's hardships, comforts them, and cares about their livelihood?"
Jang Ye-chan, the Youth Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party, criticized the cancellation of Jo's appointment as a witness for the National Assembly investigation, saying, "Your double standards in dealing with the weak and victims are disgusting, and I cannot treat you like human beings."
On his Facebook that day, Jang said, "If you ignore the weak and disregard the victims, why do politics at all?" He called the Democratic Party politicians and broadcast panelists who slander the whistleblower risking their lives to reveal the truth and accuse them of having political motives truly despicable.
He sarcastically added, "I hope you also end up in a position where you are ordered around doing errands like shampoo runs for someone like Lee Jae-myung and get bullied."
