228 Awards Including Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit Presented at SME Technology and Management Innovation Expo

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 18th that it held the awards ceremony for the '2023 Small and Medium Enterprise Technology and Management Innovation Exhibition' at BEXCO in Busan. Minister Lee Young attended the event to commend and encourage those who achieved outstanding results through technological and managerial innovation and contributed to the development of the national economy.
At the ceremony, a total of 228 awards were presented, including 2 Silver Tower Orders of Industrial Service Merit, 1 Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, 3 Industrial Service Medals, 1 Order of Service Merit, 20 Presidential Citations, 30 Prime Minister Citations, and 171 Ministerial Citations.
The Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit was awarded to Choi Myung-hwa, CEO of FS, and Park Ki-joo, CEO of Smart Power. The Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit was awarded to Kim Jwa-jin, CEO of Mothers Pharm. The Industrial Service Medal was awarded to Park Yong-joo, CEO of G-B Style, Jeong Kwang-cheon, CEO of Ivy Leaders, and Lee Sang-jin, CEO of Dongjin P&I Industry. The Order of Service Merit was awarded to Park Byung-ryang, Director of the Korea Polytechnic University Research Institute.
At the event, Minister Lee delivered a keynote speech titled 'Future Policy Directions for SMEs and Startups.' He presented the current economic environment faced by SMEs, key policy tasks of the Ministry, and strategies for SMEs in the era of great transformation, while listening to and communicating with participating companies on-site.

Minister Lee said, “This year, the SME Technology Innovation Exhibition and the Management Innovation Competition were integrated for the first time, and through this, it is expected that the sharing and dissemination of technological and managerial innovation achievements of innovative SMEs will be promoted. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will actively support the scale-up growth and global expansion of innovative SMEs, represented by Inno-Biz and Main-Biz, through policies and projects.”
