Gu District to Host '2023 Seoripul Nanjangpan' on 21st at Seocho Culture and Arts Park for Youth's Best Moments... Youth-Organized Cultural Arts Contest, Experiences, Performances, and Various Events Planned
A festival offering unique experiences based on teenagers' personality types (MBTI) will be held near Yangjaecheon in Seocho-gu.
Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) will host the children and youth festival "2023 Seoripul Nanjangpan" at Seocho Culture and Arts Park in Yangjae-dong on the 21st.
The festival theme is "MBTI (My Best Time Is...)." It means "Let’s make the festival moments remembered as my best times." It also contains a double meaning with the acronym MBTI (personality type test), which has been popular across all generations.
Hosted by Seocho-gu and co-organized by the Seocho Youth Center and Bangbae Youth Center, this festival was directly planned by local teenagers, including the festival name and operational direction.
The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The highlight of the festival is the "MBTI Experience Zone," where teenagers can enjoy unique experiences according to their personality types. It consists of 8 zones and 27 experience booths tailored to the characteristics of each personality type. Students try out 8 booths of their choice. After completing each booth experience, they get an MBTI stamp on a leaflet. By reviewing the personality types of the booths they experienced, they can discover their own "Seoripul Nanjangpan MBTI." Collecting all 8 stamps also earns them a souvenir.
For example, experiencing booths like arm wrestling matches and Ssingssing racing corresponds to the active and energetic extroverted "E Zone," while booths such as personal color diagnosis and 3-minute caricature correspond to the introverted "I Zone," where one recharges energy in their own world. Additionally, the ping-pong balloon darts represent the quick-witted "P Zone," and the spooky escape room corresponds to the decisive "J Zone."
In the performance zone for teenagers, a total of 10 teams will participate in a wonderful cultural and artistic contest featuring dance, singing, and more. The festival also includes magic shows, busking performances, and other diverse events. Special performances by invited singers such as UV and Hollybang will follow.
Cheon Yu-eun, a 2nd-year student at Yeongdong Middle School and a member of the festival planning team "Yousters," who prepared this festival, said, "I feel rewarded to have been able to directly plan a festival that reflects our thoughts and dreams over the past five months," and added, "I want to have a great time with the teenagers who come on the festival day."
