Nowon-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will hold the "2023 Nowon-gu Apartment Healing Festival" on the 22nd.
This festival was prepared to promote smooth communication among apartment residents and establish a proper residential culture in communal housing within the region amid an increasingly harsh society. To prepare for this event, the district launched the "2023 Nowon-gu Apartment Healing Festival Promotion Committee" last August and selected 12 apartment complexes wishing to participate.
The main event, held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 22, will be divided into indoor and outdoor venues for smooth progress.
First, at the multipurpose hall on the basement level 1 of the Buk Seoul Museum of Art, the opening ceremony will begin at 11 a.m., followed by the "Nowon-gu Apartment Community Revitalization Best Practices Presentation" until 1 p.m.
The "Best Practices Presentation" is a session to introduce and share excellent cases promoted by each apartment complex to resolve conflicts and foster resident harmony. Eight apartment complexes selected through a first round of written evaluation based on originality, sustainability, and potential for expansion to other complexes will participate.
On the day, combined scores from the second on-site evaluation will determine the grand prize (1), excellence awards (2), merit awards (3), and encouragement awards (2) for apartment complexes. These selected complexes will receive certification plaques recognizing their excellence in November.
At Deungnamu Cultural Park, visitors can enjoy various experience booths such as making racing cars, crafting VR experience glasses, and playing Dalgona (Korean sugar candy) picking. Through participating and cooperating in these programs, the district expects neighbors visiting the event to share joyful moments.
At Junggye Neighborhood Park, a distinctive market will be held. It includes a flea market selling various handmade products, a secondhand goods market, food trucks, and this year, agricultural product booths. Visitors can purchase mushrooms, Yeoju produce, and natural honey directly cultivated or produced by farms in Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, at reasonable prices.
Additionally, the district operates a mobile consultation office where residents can receive advice on overall communal housing management. Staffed by lawyers, architects, and others, the consultation office mediates complaints related to management fees, management entity operations, and provides technical advice on construction and service projects within apartment complexes.
Meanwhile, the district is implementing various supports to foster a cooperative communal housing culture among residents, including operating a "Visiting Dispute Mediation Team" to amicably resolve various disputes and conflicts arising in communal housing.
