Putin Arrives in Beijing... Meets President Xi at Belt and Road Forum
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Beijing, China on the 17th to attend the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (land and maritime Silk Road).
The state-run China Central Television (CCTV) reported that President Putin arrived in Beijing through Beijing Capital International Airport that morning. CCTV stated, "President Putin will attend the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and participate in related activities."
On the second day of his visit to China, on the 18th, President Putin is scheduled to hold a summit meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Prior to that, he is expected to deliver a speech following President Xi at the opening ceremony scheduled for the morning of the same day.
