The business agreement ceremony held on the afternoon of the 16th at Omniverse Park, Seongui Campus of Catholic University in Seocho-gu, Seoul, was attended by Hwang Hyun-sik, CEO of LG Uplus, Kwon Yong-hyun, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Kim Dae-jin, Director of the Information Convergence Promotion Institute at the Catholic Central Medical Center, and Choi In-young, Head of the Information Convergence Research Headquarters.
Through this agreement, LG Uplus and the Catholic Central Medical Center plan to develop technology that provides continuous post-treatment management to patients based on data and recommends customized healthcare services.
Hwang Hyun-sik, CEO of LG Uplus, said, "We will enter not only everyday health management services but also more specialized healthcare service businesses in collaboration with hospitals," adding, "This agreement is also part of the 'Uplus 3.0' strategy to transform into a platform company."
Kim Dae-jin, Director of the Information Convergence Promotion Institute at the Catholic Central Medical Center, stated, "By combining the Catholic Central Medical Center’s largest domestic medical information big data with LG Uplus’s user data analysis technology, we will provide patient-tailored aftercare services that help patients," and added, "Through continuous collaboration, we will strive to make the service convenient, safe, and continuous for patients in their daily lives."
Users of the aftercare service platform can manage their health by receiving specific solutions linked to their treatment data, such as exercise and dietary therapy, according to their condition after surgery. In particular, since the doctors who treated the patients participate directly, solutions tailored to each patient’s characteristics can be provided.
