Kindergarten Student Wandering Alone During Field Trip Drowns in the Sea
A 4-year-old kindergarten student on a field trip was found dead after falling into the sea while wandering alone without a guardian.
According to the Mokpo Coast Guard on the 12th, a report was received around 10:45 a.m. that a child was wandering alone without a guardian in front of the store at Namnong Public Parking Lot near Gatbawi in Mokpo.
The Coast Guard and fire department responded to the scene, but the child was already in the sea. The child, who was unconscious at the time of rescue, was transported to the hospital but passed away.
The deceased child was a kindergarten student who was participating in an off-site activity as part of a field trip.
