Yeongdeungpo-gu Hosts 'Employment Mentoring Concert'
From 6 PM to 9:30 PM on the 11th at Yeongdeungpo Art Hall, famous company mentors from Naver, LG Electronics, and more gather... Customized programs including public mock interviews and 19 small-group job mentoring attract attention
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will hold a 'Job Mentoring Concert' for about 200 young people on the 11th at the Yeongdeungpo Art Hall exhibition room to mark the employment season in the second half of this year.
The Job Mentoring Concert invites current employees from well-known large corporations, global companies, and startups preferred by young job seekers to provide special lectures on employment and mentoring programs.
The event will take place from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. It includes ▲a 'Job Special Lecture' delivered by HR managers from large companies such as LG Electronics ▲a 'Public Mock Interview' where current interviewers from companies like Saramin publicly conduct mock interviews with two young participants and provide feedback ▲a 'Job Panel Discussion' where young people engage in Q&A with current employee panels ▲and 'Small Group Job Mentoring,' where young people meet mentors for individual in-depth counseling.
A total of 19 companies and 19 mentors (one per company) await young participants at this event, including ▲7 domestic large companies such as Naver and LG Electronics ▲10 foreign companies such as 3M and UPS ▲and 2 well-known startups such as Bluepoint Partners.
In particular, the district has organized mentors’ job roles broadly into more than 15 categories such as ▲planning ▲overseas business ▲human resources ▲sales ▲investment screening ▲R&D ▲developer ▲engineer ▲quality control to allow young people from various majors to participate.
The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the 'Small Group Job Mentoring.' Nineteen small groups are formed by mentors, and 19 current employee mentors active in various industries provide tailored mentoring to young people. Participants can freely move among three small groups for 30 minutes each according to their desired companies and job roles, gaining employment know-how, experience, and resolving their questions.
Additionally, before the concert begins, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon will hold a session to encourage young people. Mayor Choi will deliver a message supporting young people who challenge their dreams with passionate enthusiasm despite difficult situations such as the economic downturn and pledge to implement customized policies for youth.
Any young person aged 39 or under residing in Yeongdeungpo-gu can participate in the 'Job Mentoring Concert.' While prior registration via Google Form is preferred, on-site registration on the day of the event is also possible.
