"Warning to All Hostile Forces... Do Not Exploit This Situation"
The United States condemned the attack on Israel by the Palestinian armed faction Hamas and pledged support for Israel in all areas, including military assistance.
U.S. President Joe Biden stated in a statement on the 7th (local time), "I had a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was attacked by Hamas," and said, "The United States stands with Israel. We will never fail to have their back, and Israel will have no shortage of help needed for self-defense."

Earlier, Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a national broadcast, "We are at war and will fight to win."
President Biden said, "I made it clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that we are ready to provide all appropriate means to support the Israeli government and people. Terrorism is never justified."
He added, "The United States warns all hostile forces against Israel seeking to profit from this situation," and emphasized that U.S. support for Israel's security is "ironclad and unwavering."
President Biden said, "The Biden administration's support for Israel's security is strong and unshakable. Jill (the First Lady) and I will continue to pray for all families affected by this violence." He also expressed sorrow for those who tragically lost their lives and hoped for the swift recovery of all the injured.
On the 8th (local time), flames and smoke rose in the Gaza Strip due to airstrikes by the Israeli Air Force in response to a surprise attack by the Palestinian armed group Hamas.

Earlier, a statement condemning Hamas was issued in the name of the White House National Security Council (NSC) spokesperson. The U.S. government's response to this situation escalated in the order of NSC spokesperson statement → presidential statement → urgent presidential address.
