Geumcheon-gu 'Ryeonghyeon Vegetables' Warm Sharing Continues for 10 Years
Lunch and Gift Sharing for 50 Elderly Living Alone in Siheung 5-dong
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that on October 5th, at 'Ryeonghyeon Vegetables' (CEO Kim Jae-woo) located in Eunhaengnamu Market, Siheung 5-dong, they served lunch to 50 low-income elderly living alone and delivered gifts (socks, rice cakes) worth approximately 1.2 million KRW.
Ryeonghyeon Vegetables has been practicing neighborly love by helping residents in need every year since 2014. The sponsorship funds are raised by collecting sales from the first and last customers of each day.
CEO Kim Jae-woo said, "I am glad to provide a hearty meal to elderly living alone," and added, "I want to continue to bring hope to marginalized neighbors."
