Director Kang Je-gyu's '1947 Boston' Invited to London Asian Film Festival
The film '1947 Boston' has been invited to the 8th London East Asia Film Festival, Lotte Entertainment announced on the 6th.
The 8th London East Asia Film Festival (LEAFF) will be held from the 18th to the 29th at major theaters in three UK cities: London, Sheffield, and Nottingham. '1947 Boston' was nominated in the official section, where last year's films 'Hunt' and 'Emergency Declaration' were also invited. Director Kang Je-gyu is scheduled to attend the festival for a stage greeting and Q&A session.
Jeon Hye-jung, the executive director of the London East Asia Film Festival, stated, "The film excellently captures the essence of history and provides an emotionally resonant experience along with beautiful visuals. Director Kang Je-gyu's outstanding direction and the passionate performance of Im Si-wan, last year's Rising Star awardee at the festival, stand out. The film will enrich the festival with its cultural depth."

Released on the 27th of last month, '1947 Boston' depicts the story of marathon runners' challenge and inspiring journey to participate in an international competition for the first time after liberation in 1947, proudly wearing the Taegeuk mark. The film stars actors Ha Jung-woo and Im Si-wan.
