Prosecutors Arrest and Indict Lamborghini Driver for Threatening with a Weapon over Parking Dispute
A Lamborghini driver accused of threatening a parking dispute opponent with a weapon has been brought to trial.
The Violent Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Yeon-sil) indicted Hong Mo (29) on charges including special intimidation on the 5th.
According to the prosecution, Hong is accused of threatening to kill by brandishing a 24 cm-long weapon worn on his waist during an argument with two people, including local merchants, while parking a Lamborghini vehicle in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 4:30 p.m. on the 11th of last month. At the time of the incident, he was also charged with unlicensed driving under the Road Traffic Act due to license cancellation.
There is also a possibility that Hong will be additionally indicted on drug use charges. When Hong was arrested by the police on the day of the incident, he was intoxicated and unable to control his body properly. A rapid drug test showed positive results for Philopon, MDMA (Ecstasy), and Ketamine. This charge is currently under investigation by the Drug Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Hong claims to have undergone sedation anesthesia at a hospital. The police are also looking into suspicions of Hong's involvement in the 'MZ Jopok' gang.
