Gyeongnam Bank, "Don't Worry, Your Life Is Ripening Well Like Autumn"
Posted the 'Third Empathy Bulletin Board' Carrying a Message of Hope
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 5th that it has posted its third empathy message board on the outer wall of the BNK Gyeongnam Bank headquarters to welcome autumn.
The empathy message board, inscribed with the phrase "Don't worry, your life is ripening well like autumn," uses the metaphor of a bountiful autumn following the scorching midsummer sun to express a sentimental message. It conveys encouragement for your life, which is overcoming hardships and adversities well through various stages of life.
Along with the calligraphy-expressed phrase, an autumn landscape is depicted.
This empathy message board phrase was selected from 208 submissions received during the call for empathy message board [Autumn Edition] phrases held from August 24 to September 6, with the highest scoring phrase chosen.
In particular, a generational preference survey conducted among employees showed results of 58% for those in their 20s, 34% for those in their 30s to 40s, and 50% for those in their 50s.
The empathy message board was planned based on part of Bank President Ye Gyeong-tak’s idea of a "warm bank filled with fragrance," aiming to deliver messages of hope to local residents and communities and to share and promote cultural sensibility.
Choi Dae-sik, head of the Social Contribution and Public Relations Department, said, "The phrase 'Don't worry, your life is ripening well like autumn' is heartwarming enough to bring comfort and warmth to both the speaker and the listener. It is especially meaningful that the phrase displayed on this empathy message board was selected through a contest. Like the phrase on the board, we hope that customers and local residents overcome difficulties well and enjoy an autumn full of positive energy."
Meanwhile, BNK Gyeongnam Bank posted its first empathy message board from April to the end of June, featuring a phrase from poet Yun Dong-ju’s poem "A New Road": "Crossing the stream, into the forest, over the hill, to the village, my path is always a new road."
