Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Hosts Korean Speaking Contest for Foreign Workers

Total Prize Money of 3.6 Million KRW Across 3 Categories by Length of Stay
Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, a subsidiary of HD Hyundai (CEO Shin Hyun-dae), is hosting a Korean speaking contest for foreign workers to facilitate their smooth settlement in the local community and improve their work adaptation in celebration of Hangul Day.
According to Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries on the 5th, the company will hold the "2023 Hangul Day Korean Speaking Contest for Foreigners" at its Technical Training Center and Support Hall, targeting foreign workers affiliated with in-house partner companies (excluding overseas Koreans).
The preliminary round will be held on the 10th, selecting a total of 15 finalists?5 from each category?and the final round will take place on the 13th.
Participants will be divided into three categories based on their length of stay: △ Beginner (less than 1 year), △ Intermediate (1 to less than 3 years), and △ Advanced (3 years or more). They will choose one of four topics?△ Korean culture and life, △ hobbies, △ self-introduction, or △ my goals?and deliver a free presentation within 5 minutes.
Prizes will be generously awarded with a total prize pool of 3.6 million KRW: △ Grand Prize (3 winners) 500,000 KRW, △ Excellence Prize (3 winners) 300,000 KRW, △ Encouragement Prize (3 winners) 200,000 KRW, and △ Participation Prize (6 winners) 100,000 KRW, given to all finalists.
