On the 4th, Hyundai Livart announced the launch of its premium furniture line, 'Livart Meister Collection.' The Meister Collection is Hyundai Livart's top-tier premium furniture line, applying the highest quality natural solid woods such as walnut, ash, and birch, which are rarely seen in the domestic furniture industry that mainly uses plywood like medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and particleboard (PB). All product development and production are overseen by the premium furniture development lab 'Meister LAB' operated by Hyundai Livart.
Last year, Hyundai Livart established the Meister LAB, composed of about 20 master craftsmen and technical experts specializing in areas such as solid wood furniture manufacturing with 45 years of experience, leather, and fabric, aiming to "advance to a premium brand through quality enhancement." The Meister LAB is equipped with over 30 high-performance facilities, including a 5-axis computer numerical control (CNC) machine that enables wood curved surface processing technology, considered essential for luxury furniture, along with domestic furniture experts. A Hyundai Livart official said, "The Meister Collection is designed with natural curves such as wind and flowers as the core motif," adding, "We used the finest solid wood to present premium products comparable to overseas luxury furniture, and the best domestic solid wood furniture craftsmen are responsible for the entire manufacturing process."
About ten craftsmen specializing in each material or process, such as wood processing, fabric, and leather, participate in the production of one Meister Collection product. Since experts carry out all production processes manually, it takes at least three weeks to produce one product. The Meister Collection products unveiled this time include eight types of beds and sofas. The beds include four types such as 'Noche' and 'Floral.' The flagship Noche bed uses natural walnut solid wood on both sides of the headboard, allowing customers to feel the rich color and atmosphere that solid wood provides. The Floral bed, inspired by flower petals, uses solid birch wood to highlight the natural wood grain and bright color of the species, giving a soft impression. The four types of Meister Collection sofas feature bold designs and colors never seen before, making them key objects in interior design. The representative product, the 'Kuss' sofa, is a 3.5-seater named after the German word for 'kiss.' It is designed with the elegant and voluminous lines of lips as a motif, and its color is derived from the red of lips. Hyundai Livart plans to add a total of 15 new products, including dining tables and tea tables, starting with the bed frames and eight sofa types introduced this time.
