Kim Yong-seok, Former Seoul City Council Member, Strong Candidate for Seoul City Council Secretariat Chief
Kim Yong-seok, former director of the Seoul Museum of History and a two-term Seoul Metropolitan Council member (Seocho 4), is reportedly a strong candidate for the position of Seoul Metropolitan Council Secretariat Chief, equivalent to Grade 1.
Candidate Kim (55) graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Oriental History and worked as a journalist at Kyunghyang Shinmun for 16 years. He served as a member of the 8th and 9th Seoul Metropolitan Council.
After the by-election of Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Kim served as the director of the Seoul Museum of History, completing a two-year term before recently retiring.

The Seoul Metropolitan Council is expected to hold a personnel committee meeting soon to appoint Kim as the Secretariat Chief of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, with the term starting on November 9.
