Lee Won-ho earned his second medal following his silver medal in the men's 10m air pistol event on the 28th. This is Kim Bo-mi's first medal at the Asian Games.
In the mixed air pistol shooting event, one male and one female athlete from each country compete, each shooting 30 shots in the qualification round. The top two teams from the qualification round advance directly to the gold medal match, while the 3rd and 6th place teams and the 4th and 5th place teams compete in two separate bronze medal matches. In the bronze medal matches, each team shoots once per round, with the higher score earning 2 points and a tie resulting in each team receiving 1 point. The first team to reach 16 points wins.
In the qualification round, South Korea scored a combined total of 574 points with Lee Won-ho scoring 290 and Kim Bo-mi scoring 284, placing 4th behind India (577 points), China (576 points), and Iran (575 points), narrowly missing the gold medal match.
The bronze medal match was a 'Korea-Japan showdown.' The match was close early on, but Japan's Yamada scored only in the 7-point range on the third and fourth shots, allowing Korea to take a 7-3 lead and then extend the gap.
