Supporting Food Supplies for Disabled Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities for Low-Income Groups in the Community
Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters announced on the 27th that it delivered 'Yeolmae Kits' to 100 households using Ssangchon Comprehensive Social Welfare Center to support vulnerable groups in the local community in celebration of Chuseok.
The Yeolmae Kit delivery ceremony was held at Ssangchon Comprehensive Social Welfare Center with Bae Jun-yeol, head of Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, and Kim Cheon-su, director of Ssangchon Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, in attendance.
The 'Yeolmae Kit' embodies the intention to open the hearts of low-income families and people with disabilities, who are vulnerable in the local community, and to tie those hearts together to form a single community fruit.
The Yeolmae Kits are composed of products from vocational rehabilitation centers for people with disabilities and are planned to be delivered to 100 households using Ssangchon Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
It was planned to comfort the loneliness and social deprivation felt by low-income families who have little interaction with family and relatives during the holiday period, and to support the sustainable growth of people with disabilities amid the decline in employment rates of people with disabilities.
Bae Jun-yeol, head of Good Neighbors Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, said, “In celebration of the holiday, I hope this meaningful project will empathize with the difficulties of low-income families and people with disabilities in need of help in the local community and express small but warm hearts. We will continue to strive to be Good Neighbors who create a life of living together with the local community.”
