View original imageSeodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 27th that it recently signed a sister city agreement with Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, to promote mutual prosperity and co-development between the two cities. About 70 officials from both local governments, including the mayor of Seodaemun-gu, the governor of Yeonggwang-gun, and the chairpersons of the Seodaemun-gu Council and Yeonggwang-gun Council, attended the signing ceremony.
Through this agreement, Seodaemun-gu and Yeonggwang-gun will cooperate in various fields such as administration, welfare, economy, culture, tourism, sports, and education, and actively support exchange projects at the private sector level.
Kang Jongman, governor of Yeonggwang-gun, said, "Let us create synergy together to pioneer a new future and turn a hopeful tomorrow into reality."
Lee Seongheon, mayor of Seodaemun-gu, stated, "Although the two cities are geographically distant, we can build a strong relationship for mutual growth. We will strive to carry out projects that provide practical benefits to residents, such as revitalizing direct trade markets and exchanges between sports associations and youth."
