Korean Air-Pilot Union Reach Tentative Agreement on 2023 Wage Negotiations
Korean Air announced on the afternoon of the 25th that it has reached a tentative agreement with the Korean Air Pilots Union regarding the 2023 wage negotiations.
Specifically, they agreed on a 3.5% increase in total wages (a 3.5% increase in both base salary and flight allowances), an adjustment of the management performance bonus payment limit from 300% to 500%, and the introduction of a selective welfare system. The agreement also includes increases in domestic stay allowances and maintenance of dignity expenses, as well as adjustments to the quick turn allowance payment criteria.
This agreement will be finalized after a vote by union members.

Since April, the labor and management have been negotiating this year's wage adjustment plan. For general office workers, they agreed in July on a 3.5% wage increase and an adjustment of the maximum management performance bonus payment limit from 300% to 500%.
