On the 26th, Kim Min-seok, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea running for the floor leader election, commented on the approval of the arrest motion against Representative Lee Jae-myung and the subsequent detention hearing, stating, "Each person's political stance on approval or rejection is a matter of personal conviction, judgment, and public evaluation," and added, "It is appropriate to openly and confidently disclose one's position and be subject to public evaluation."
On the 26th, Kim appeared on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' and said, "I am not demanding coercion," but also noted, "I believe it is very natural to disclose one's vote."

Regarding the public opinion within the party calling for disciplinary action against lawmakers who voted in favor, Kim said, "I do not consider the act of voting itself as grounds for discipline," explaining, "Because it is a matter of political choice."

However, he added, "If this issue is linked to political reasons such as the representative's position, it becomes a very serious problem," and evaluated that calls for resignation or impeachment of the representative are inappropriate.
