Sangmin Lee: "Yoo Si-min 'Okjung Approval' Liked by Lee... Birds of a Feather"
Democratic Party Lawmaker, SBS Radio Interview
"Floor Leader? Whoever It Is, Strengthening the Pro-Myeong System"
Lee Sang-min, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized the fact that former Roh Moo-hyun Foundation director Yoo Si-min liked a video in which he advocated for Lee Jae-myung's prison approval, saying, "The applause matches perfectly, and it shows that they are truly like-minded people, so what more can be said?"
On the 26th, Lee appeared on SBS Radio's 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show' and said, "Former director Yoo and some people within the party are saying that prison approval and prison nomination should be done, but does that make any sense?" He added, "Would the public think that the Democratic Party of Korea is doing well? It goes against common sense."
He continued, "Political forces should make efforts to align with the common sense of the people and meet the public's expectations. If they deviate from that, what kind of judgment will the people make?"
Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, waves to supporters as he departs for the Seoul Central District Court on the morning of the 26th from Noksaek Hospital in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, to attend the pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant review).

That afternoon, the Democratic Party was preparing to elect a new floor leader. With Representative Woo Won-shik declaring he would not run, the race was a three-way contest among Representatives Kim Min-seok, Hong Ik-pyo, and Nam In-soon (in order of ballot number). Regarding this, Lee said, "Whoever wins, the so-called pro-Lee (pro-Lee Jae-myung) faction will be strengthened, and the support base for Representative Lee Jae-myung will become more solid, and that is what will happen."
He said, "There is conflict between the pro-Lee and anti-Lee factions, and there are various opposing views. It is true that there is an atmosphere of internal strife where no one is willing to back down," adding, "If Representative Lee wants to settle this and lay the groundwork for unity, he should make such a gesture. But if he just strengthens the pro-Lee system and insists on going all the way, including the general election, it shows that the thoughts within the party are very different."

He emphasized, "Since the approval of the arrest motion has passed and various leadership problems have surfaced, it is desirable for Representative Lee to step down from his position to prevent the judicial suspicions surrounding him from casting a dark cloud over the party in the future."
