View original imageGyeonggi Province will start accepting online applications for the “Emergency Moving Expense Support Project for Tenants of Public Rental Housing Affected by Jeonse Damage,” which provides up to 1.5 million KRW in moving expenses to tenants affected by jeonse moving into public rental housing from October 5.
Eligibility for support includes those who have received a Jeonse Damage Confirmation Certificate issued by the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) or a decision notification as a victim of jeonse fraud under the Special Act on Support for Victims of Jeonse Fraud and Housing Stability, and who are currently residing in public rental housing in the province through emergency housing support.
Gyeonggi Province launched the moving expense support project in August to assist residents who face unavoidable relocation due to jeonse damage, such as eviction orders.
When applying for moving expense support, only the actual moving costs incurred up to 1.5 million KRW will be reimbursed.
Recognized expense items include professional moving services, use of ladder trucks and elevators, air conditioner relocation and installation, and move-in cleaning.
Required documents include the moving expense support application form, consent form for personal information provision, resident registration abstract, copy of ID, copy of bankbook, and proof of moving expenses (such as card payment receipts or cash receipts). Payments are usually made to the applicant’s account within about one month after application.
Applications can be submitted not only by visiting the existing Gyeonggi Province Jeonse Damage Support Center or by registered mail but also online through the “Gyeonggi Minwon 24” website’s online application portal (https://gg24.gg.go.kr).
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province also plans to provide emergency living expenses of 1 million KRW to households suffering financial difficulties due to jeonse damage through the “Emergency Living Expense Support Project for Jeonse Damage Households,” which will be available online via “Gyeonggi Minwon 24.”
