The 21st Term Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council Gwangju Seogu Chapter Launches... Declares a Strong Leap Forward
The Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council of the National Unification Advisory Council held the inauguration ceremony for the 21st term and the 3rd quarter regular meeting at Deulbul Hall, Seo-gu Office, on the 25th, marking a strong start.
About 130 people attended the inauguration ceremony, including Jeon Ji-yeon, Chairperson of the Seo-gu Council, Kim Yi-gang, Seo-gu Mayor, Ko Kyung-ae, Chairperson of the Seo-gu Council, local representative advisory members, and executives.
With the activity goal of "Preparing for unification based on liberal democracy with the people," the newly launched 21st term National Unification Advisory Council Gwangju Seo-gu Council will serve as an advisory body for the next two years to spread public consensus on peaceful unification within the region and to create a peaceful and prosperous Korean Peninsula.
On this day, the newly inaugurated Chairperson Jeon Ji-yeon donated 10 million won in scholarships to the Gwangju Seo-gu Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Park Chan-gap).
Chairperson Jeon Ji-yeon said, "I will do my best together with the advisory members so that the National Unification Advisory Council can serve as a bridgehead to open the era of unification," and added, "I hope this will help Seo-gu’s youth grow into talents needed by the region, even if just a little."
