Accordingly, the Imsil-gun delegation, led by County Governor Shim Min, visited Vietnam for four days from the 21st to the 24th to participate in the Tan Tuyen Festival.
Tuyen Quang City in Tuyen Quang Province, Vietnam, established a sister city relationship with Imsil-gun in March this year, and in August, Party Secretary Chau Van Lam visited Imsil-gun.
At that time, Party Secretary Chau Van Lam expressed his intention to invite Governor Shim Min to the festival and officially sent an invitation during the festival period, arranging another meeting between the two regions.
During this visit, the county delegation discussed ways to enhance mutual friendship, negotiate agreements on attracting corporate investment, and cooperate on the operation of foreign seasonal workers.
In particular, they actively promoted Imsil by highlighting the excellence of the Imsil Cheese Festival and the local specialty, Imsil Cheese.
Since the sister city agreement in March, the two cities have been fostering active exchanges and friendship through the introduction of foreign seasonal workers and festival invitations.
Especially following the visit of the Tuyen Quang Province delegation in August, they discussed in detail the investment attraction of local companies and expanded cooperation beyond attracting foreign seasonal workers to include festival and economic exchanges.
Starting next year, they also promised to enhance friendship and participation through mutual cultural performance group exchanges between the two cities.
Governor Shim Min and his party had a busy schedule benchmarking foreign festivals by touring various event sites, including the spectacular light festival held at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, warmly hosted by Tuyen Quang City.
Party Secretary Chau Van Lam said, “Since visiting Imsil last month, we are delighted and pleased that Governor Shim Min personally visited Tuyen Quang Province. We appreciate your participation in the Tan Tuyen Festival, famous for being the largest and most unique lantern festival in Vietnam.”
Governor Shim Min said, “Thank you for inviting us to the festival. Taking this visit as an opportunity, Imsil and Tuyen Quang City will further develop toward the common goals of friendship and prosperity. We expect more active exchanges as the friendly relationship between the two cities continues to cooperate steadily in various fields such as agriculture, corporate attraction, culture, and tourism.”
