Daegu Office of Education Launches 'Creating Honest School Sports Teams' Campaign... Distributes Promotional Videos and Card News
The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kang Eun-hee) announced on the 25th that it has produced and distributed a campaign video titled “Creating an Honest School Sports Club,” involving direct participation from the superintendent, student athletes, and coaches of school sports clubs, as well as a Q&A card news on “Understanding the Anti-Corruption and Bribery Prohibition Act in the School Sports Club Sector” to enhance the integrity of school sports clubs and promote the superintendent’s commitment to honesty.
The newly released campaign video dynamically features the determination of the superintendent and school sports club students to eradicate corruption and abuse of power in the school sports club sector, along with training scenes of student athletes and coaches from seven major sports including baseball, volleyball, taekwondo, fencing, basketball, boxing, and bowling.
Additionally, the card news presents various common cases related to the Anti-Corruption and Bribery Prohibition Act that school sports club coaches and parents should know, formatted in a Q&A style to help teachers and parents understand more easily.
The campaign video and card news were posted on the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education’s website, YouTube channel, and the websites of various schools to promote the office’s commitment to integrity and to facilitate easy use in school settings.
Furthermore, the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education has implemented policies such as anti-corruption education for school sports club personnel, system improvements through special audits of school sports clubs, prevention of abuse of power and integrity lectures by the superintendent, and integrity letters from the superintendent. Plans are also underway to conduct integrity evaluations of high-ranking officials and hold communication sessions on integrity between the superintendent and school sports clubs.
