Busan Students Achieve Excellent Results at the National Disabled Students e-Festival
Students from Busan achieved excellent results at the '2023 National Disabled Students e-Festival' held over two days from September 5 in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk.
First held in 2003, this festival was conducted as an in-person event for the first time in four years since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event aims to enhance the informatization skills of students with special education needs and to establish a healthy leisure culture. It is divided into two parts: the 'Information Competition' and the 'eSports Competition.'
This year, about 1,500 participants from 17 cities and provinces nationwide took part. From Busan, 22 students participated, achieving a remarkable feat with 15 awardees: 5 Grand Prize winners, 4 Excellence Award winners, 4 Encouragement Award winners, and 2 Fair Play Award winners.
The Grand Prize winners include student Lee Ji-seok in the 'SW Coding' category, Park Da-hye in the 'Hangul Word Processor' category, Chae Si-yul in the 'Internet Search' category, Go Seong-jun in the 'PowerPoint' category, and Hwang Si-hu in the 'Excel' category.
Student Lee Ji-seok said, "I prepared hard to achieve good results at this festival, and I am very happy that the results reflect my efforts."

Lee Seong-hwan, Director of Secondary Education at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "Our education office is implementing various support policies to help students with special education needs realize their dreams and talents," adding, "We will continue to do our best to support the healthy growth of students with special education needs."
