UNIST and Ulsan City Hold 'Global Manufacturing Innovation Forum'
A forum exploring the direction and strategy of manufacturing innovation in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution will be held in Ulsan.
UNIST and Ulsan City will host the "Global Manufacturing Innovation Forum 2023" on October 5th at the UNIST Industry-Academia Convergence Campus.
The forum will be attended by global scholars from MIT, Carnegie Mellon University, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, as well as industry experts from companies such as Hyundai Motor Company and HD Hyundai.
The forum is open to anyone through pre-registration. Pre-registration is available on the UNIST 3D Printing Convergence Technology Center website until October 3rd.
The theme of the forum is "Manufacturing Innovation of Future Industries Based on 3D Printing Technology." Advanced technologies such as bioprinting of tissues, the convergence of artificial intelligence and 3D printing, and digital twin-based smart factories will be introduced.
Additionally, domestic industry experts will discuss the potential applications of 3D printing technology in future automobile and shipbuilding industries.
A tour showcasing the advanced 3D printing equipment and technology of the 3D Printing Convergence Technology Center will also be conducted, and a joint research agreement with the National 3D Printing Centre of Singapore to establish a global 3D printing network in Ulsan is planned.

UNIST and Ulsan City plan to accelerate the digital innovation of the regional manufacturing ecosystem through this forum and build a cooperative platform with related domestic and international institutions.
