A man in his 20s arrested for stabbing the thigh of a passenger in his 70s at Sangbong Station, Seoul
Arrested at Home in Guri-si, Gyeonggi
The Jungnang Police Station in Seoul announced on the 22nd that they arrested a man in his 20s, Mr. B, on suspicion of stabbing a man in his 70s, Mr. A, with a weapon at the subway platform of Sangbong Station in Seoul.
According to the police, Mr. B is suspected of stabbing Mr. A in the thigh with a weapon and fleeing after a verbal altercation caused by bumping shoulders at the platform of Sangbong Station on Line 7 of the Seoul subway in Jungnang-gu at around 3:28 PM that day. The police analyzed CCTV footage and apprehended Mr. B at his home in Guri City, Gyeonggi Province, at around 6:35 PM, about three hours later. Mr. B reportedly stated to the police that he was carrying the knife for the purpose of cutting Post-it notes.
