"Let's Stop the Proliferation of Party Banners" Sejong City and Political Parties Collaborate
Sejong City is seeking measures to prevent indiscriminate installation of banners by local political parties.
On the 22nd, Sejong City announced that recently, local political party officials and responsible public officials gathered at City Hall for a 'Political Party Banner Improvement Meeting.'
The meeting was organized based on a shared understanding to resolve safety concerns caused by banners installed indiscriminately for promotional purposes by political parties, which obstruct urban scenery and block the view of drivers and pedestrians.
At the meeting, Sejong City officials shared cases nationwide where political party banner installations caused problems and emphasized the need to limit the locations and quantities of political party banners.
Political party officials attending the meeting also expressed a positive stance on these issues and the need to develop improvement measures.
They also proposed to Sejong City measures to remove illegal banners disguised as political party banners and to conduct standard banner size education targeting outdoor advertising businesses.
