NH Nonghyup Bank Gyeongnam Headquarters Forms Partnership with Changwon Bonggok, Bansong, and Sangnam Markets
NH Nonghyup Bank Gyeongnam Headquarters announced on the 22nd that it has signed the ‘Janggeumi Partnership’ to support win-win finance and prevent financial fraud damage by visiting traditional markets.
The ‘Janggeumi Partnership’ is a combination of Jang (場), meaning market, and Geum (金), meaning financial company. It shares the same name as the royal physician’s wife in the Joseon Dynasty, implying healing difficulties through finance.
The event was attended by Park Jung-su, Head of the Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch, and Choi Yeol-su, Head of the Gyeongnam Regional Small and Medium Business Administration, who have been working to establish partnerships between financial institutions and traditional markets.

View original imageAt the signing ceremony held at Bonggok Market in Changwon, Gyeongnam, NH Nonghyup Bank Gyeongnam Headquarters plans to prevent financial fraud damage through establishing a hotline with the market and providing education to merchants.
They will open dedicated counters at the market and nearby branches and actively support small business owners by offering preferential interest rates on financial products to traditional market merchants.
Park, Head of the Gyeongnam Branch, said, “I hope that this signing ceremony will mark the beginning of a safe environment from financial fraud and a Gyeongsangnam-do where traditional markets and financial companies grow together.”
Head Choi said, “We expect that this partnership will bring practical financial benefits to merchants,” and added, “We will strive to expand the partnership throughout the Gyeongnam region starting from today’s signing ceremony.”
Jo Geun-su, Head of Gyeongnam Headquarters, said, “I thank the Financial Supervisory Service and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups officials who prepared this partnership together,” and added, “NH Nonghyup Bank Gyeongnam Headquarters will lead the revitalization of the local economy by practicing win-win finance with traditional markets in our region.”
