Distribution of 2,800 Happiness GPS Units with Enhanced New Features This Year
SK Hynix announced on the 22nd that it will provide 2,800 units of the wandering detection device 'Happiness GPS' free of charge to the Korea Vulnerable Elderly Support Foundation this year to help prevent the disappearance of dementia patients and people with developmental disabilities.
Happiness GPS is a wristwatch-type device equipped with a Global Positioning System (GPS). It is used to prevent disappearance accidents by allowing caregivers to check the real-time location of dementia patients and people with developmental disabilities.
The free support project for Happiness GPS is SK Hynix's representative social contribution activity. The company has been operating this project since 2016 based on the Happiness Sharing Fund, which is created through voluntary donations from its members. To date, a total of about 29,000 Happiness GPS units have been distributed.
