Masan Fire Station Safely Rescues Missing Octogenarian from Sanho Stream in Yangdeok-dong
The Masan Fire Station Rescue Team in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, safely rescued an elderly man in his 80s who went missing at Sanhocheon in Yangdeok-dong, Masanhwoin-gu, around 2:11 PM on the 21st.

View original imageOn the 20th, the family reported the disappearance after the mother left home around 2 AM and did not return. The police confirmed through CCTV footage at 3:10 AM on the same day that the missing person was seen drifting in the water at Sanhocheon in Yangdeok-dong.
In response, the Masan Fire Station Rescue Team organized personnel into teams of two and conducted a search inside and outside Sanhocheon using a firefighting drone, eventually locating the missing person near a bridge pillar about 100 meters inside the waterway.
At the time of discovery, the missing person was holding onto a pillar in the dark covered stream, suspected of having minor abrasions and hypothermia, and was safely transported by the Seokjeon Emergency Medical Team to a hospital in Changwon City.
Notably, the Masan Fire Station Rescue Team judged the rescue site to be a difficult area to access and conducted a search for the person using a firefighting drone, which enabled the rapid discovery of the missing individual.
