[Click eStock] "DIC, Notable Achievement in Robot Gear Reducer Productization Technology"
On the 22nd, KB Securities highlighted that DIC has secured productization technology for robot reducers. They also analyzed that the company is shaping up as an electrification parts stock, raising expectations for a valuation reassessment.
DIC was established in 1976 as Daeil Industry and initially focused on producing agricultural machinery parts. Over the years, through accumulated technology, it expanded its product range to automotive parts, heavy equipment parts, and motorcycle parts, specializing in the production of gears and shafts, which are core components of power transmission systems.
Hyunkyum Kim, a researcher at KB Securities, stated, “DIC recently completed the development of a high-output cycloidal reducer, an essential component for industrial robots and collaborative robots. Attention should be paid to the fact that they have secured the technology to commercialize robot reducers that were previously at the research stage.”
DIC’s cycloidal reducer is centered on proprietary cycloidal tooth profile design and development technology, as well as module development technology to ensure reducer assembly performance. Its main applications are diverse, including robots, automobiles, and unmanned transport vehicles.
