Metaverse Momentum Falters... Com2uS Restructures Subsidiary Com2verse
Com2uS's metaverse (extended virtual world) business affiliate, Com2Verse, has begun restructuring. As the popularity of the metaverse wanes, the company decided to improve management efficiency just over a month after the service launch.
On the 21st, Com2Verse started procedures for voluntary retirement and transfers to other affiliates for its employees. The number of Com2Verse employees is about 130.
Voluntary retirees will receive severance pay and three months' basic salary. Other personnel will be given priority hiring according to recruitment plans of other Com2uS affiliates.
However, the 'Convention Center' staff within Com2Verse are excluded from the restructuring. The Convention Center is a division that plans online and offline metaverse events. This indicates the company’s intention to maintain its metaverse-related business efforts.
