Gwangju Dong-gu Council: "Have a Bountiful and Generous Hangawi"
The Dong-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 21st that it held a warm sharing event by visiting welfare facilities in the district to celebrate Chuseok.
This visit was organized with the hope that neighbors in need of care would have a warm and happy holiday amid the worsening economic difficulties caused by the prolonged heatwave and monsoon season.
Chairman Kim Jaesik and members of the Dong-gu Council delivered holiday gifts such as rice and ramen to about 20 welfare facilities including elderly care centers, facilities for the disabled, and local children's centers in the district.
They also spent a heartwarming time encouraging children and staff at the local children's center ‘Kkum-eul Geurineun Dongmyeong’ (Dream Drawing Dongmyeong).
