Anyang-si Opens 61 Paid Public Parking Lots for Free During Chuseon Holiday
Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province will open a total of 61 paid public parking lots in the area for free during the Chuseok holiday.
Among the public parking lots, Anyang City will open 17 locations for free for four days from September 28 to October 1, including the Anyang 4-dong off-street parking lot, Samdeok Park underground parking lot, Indeokwon 1 and 2 on-street parking lots, Anyang Station 1 and 2 on-street parking lots, and Beomgye Station on-street parking lot.
Additionally, 44 locations such as Pyeongchon underground parking lot, Gwanyang 1-dong off-street, Gwanyang 2-dong off-street, Dongpyeon Village underground, and Bakdal Market off-street parking lots will be open for free for six days from September 28 to October 3.
Anyang City expects that opening public parking lots near busy commercial areas with high foot traffic such as Anyang Station and Beomgye Station, as well as traditional markets like Jungang Market and Nambu Market, will enhance the convenience of citizens preparing for the Chuseok holiday.
However, five parking lots operated exclusively for monthly parking (Cheongwon off-street, Gwanak Station 1 transfer, Seoksu large cargo, Industrial site off-street, and Anyang 6-dong 2 off-street) will continue to operate as paid parking.
Choi Dae-ho, Mayor of Anyang City, stated, "We hope that the free opening will provide convenience to citizens preparing for the Chuseok holiday and also help revitalize the local commercial district."
