Gwangdong Pharmaceutical, which aired unapproved advertisements, will face a business suspension from the 21st to the 25th.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 20th that in June, it detected unapproved functional indicator advertisements in Gwangdong Pharmaceutical's red ginseng beverage and reported this to the local government authority, Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The product in question is Gwangdong Pharmaceutical's red ginseng beverage, 'Gwangdong Fermented Red Ginseng Gold.'
Accordingly, Seocho-gu decided to prohibit the distribution and sale of all products registered under Gwangdong Pharmaceutical as a 'distribution specialist seller' during the specified period.

However, Gwangdong Pharmaceutical explained that products already delivered to clients can still be sold. A Gwangdong Pharmaceutical representative stated, "The business suspension applies to foods sold under registration as a distribution specialist seller," adding, "There is no issue with sales of products already delivered to clients."
