Jeongeup-si, Jeonbuk-do, and Otom Co., Ltd. Sign Investment Agreement Worth 9.1 Billion KRW
Jeongeup City and Jeonbuk Province announced on the 20th that they signed an investment agreement with Otom Co., Ltd., a medical equipment specialized manufacturing company, at Jeongeup City Hall.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Lee Hak-su, Cheon Se-chang, Director of Jeonbuk Province's Corporate Attraction Support Office, Otom Co., Ltd. CEO Oh Jun-ho, and other company officials.
Under this agreement, Otom Co., Ltd. plans to invest 9.1 billion KRW and hire over 50 new employees to establish production facilities on a 13,599.7㎡ (4,114 pyeong) site within the Advanced Science Industrial Complex.

The design will be completed this year, and factory construction and full-scale product manufacturing will begin next year.
Otom Co., Ltd. is a company that develops and produces portable X-ray devices that significantly reduce radiation exposure compared to existing X-ray equipment without requiring separate shielding facilities. It is also the only company in Korea that possesses both hardware (X-ray) and software technologies in one place.
Recognized for its technological capabilities, the company exports its products not only to numerous hospitals but also to public health centers, tuberculosis associations, military units, and countries including Turkey, India, Mexico, Iraq, and Europe.
Mayor Lee Hak-su said, “We welcome Otom Co., Ltd., which possesses innovative technology in the production of medical devices such as X-rays, together with our citizens. We will spare no administrative and financial support to help Otom grow into a representative company of the city.”
Director Cheon Se-chang stated, “We hope Otom Co., Ltd., with its infinite growth potential through continuous technological development, will emerge as a global company in Jeonbuk. We will actively support its success as a larger company in Jeonbuk.”
CEO Oh Jun-ho said, “As much as we are welcomed, we will do our best to grow into a leading company in medical equipment production based on this investment and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”
